An Equal Opportunity Employer, Ables, Inc. has 24 electricians, 10 heating and cooling installers, 10 service technicians, 1 electrical estimator, 2 electrical project managers, 1 electrical project coordinator, 1 HVAC residential comfort advisor, 1 HVAC estimator, 1 HVAC project managers and 1 HVAC project coordinator in addition to our office staff. Ables, Inc. is a merit shop focusing on electrical, heating and air conditioning and refrigeration work, but our abilities far exceed these areas. Our scope ranges from small repair jobs to large commercial and industrial projects. We obtain our jobs through bids or on a cost-plus basis and accept “design Build” projects as well.
Ables, Inc. is an authorized dealer of Amana HVAC equipment, a leading manufacturer of residential, commercial, and industrial heating and cooling equipment. We have won several awards through Amana. We are a member of the Muskingum County safety council.

Our History
Ables, Inc. began in 1967 when our founder, Jerry Ables, opened his electrical, heating and air conditioning company. Now, 55 years later, the business he started out of his home has grown to include a fleet of service and installation trucks, and employs 70 full-time workers. An Equal Opportunity Employer, we have 11 electricians, 6 heating and air conditioning installers, 4 service technicians, 1 electrical estimator, and an electrical foreman in addition to our office staff.
By 1984, Jerry Ables Electric had outgrown its home business roots and the company was moved to 433 Wheeling Avenue in downtown Cambridge.
Since opening our doors in 1967, Ables Inc. has grown from a home-based business into one of the region's leading electrical and HVAC contractors. Today, that legacy continues as a 100% employee-owned company, ensuring the same commitment to quality and customer care for generations to come.

Our Training & Credentials
Ables, Inc. has obtained an outside safety consulting firm and participates in bi-monthly training. Each employee attends training sessions as they are available. The company, and 12 electricians, are certified by the Department of Commerce to install fire alarms and life support systems. Six of our electricians have earned their electrical licenses and are certified by the State of Ohio. Eight of our Heating Department employees are certified in refrigeration, Amana heat pump installation and service, and dust sizing. The heat service technicians hold certification in high-pressure refrigeration welding and are factory trained on Amana products. In-shop training is provided to keep all our employees current on state-of-the-art methods and our continuing education series always has full attendance.
